- Falanghina is an ancient grape variety grown in volcanic soil just north of Mt. Vesuvius, and was the favorite white wine of the Roman Emperors.
- The Lacobucci family of Terre Stregate Winery have cultivated this prized varietal since 1898. For 7 years in a row, Italy’s most prestigious wine publication Gambero Rosso has awarded them its highest ranking of “Tre Bicchiere” (Three Glasses).
- The wine is praised for its bright grapefruit-peel aromas, ripe orchard fruit on the palate and bracing minerality on the finish.
- Great with seared tuna and other grilled fish and vegetables. Also with pasta with seafood and vegetable sauces.
